*Just my opinion, but will the alleged incident with the hotel waitress be a factor in this not happening or being postponed?  We'll just have to wait and see.*

Two of Hank Williams Jr.'s daughters injured in wreck

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Two daughters of country music singer Hank Williams Jr. were badly hurt in a traffic accident Wednesday afternoon in northern Mississippi, the performer's publicist said.

Kirt Webster said Holly Williams, 25, and Hillary Williams, in her early 20s, were injured in the wreck around 12:30 p.m. between Memphis and Tunica, Miss.

He said the two were en route to the Thursday funeral of their maternal grandfather in Louisiana.

Webster said Hillary was critically hurt and would have extensive surgery Wednesday night. He said Holly was badly hurt but not as critically as her sister.

The two were hospitalized at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis. Hospital spokesmen did not return calls for further details on the girls' condition.

Webster said he had no details on the accident. The Mississippi Highway Patrol was handling the wreck, but a spokesman for the department said he was still gathering information.

"If it wasn't for Hillary's seatbelt, God knows what would have happened," he said.

Webster said Hank Williams was in Nashville at the time of the wreck. He had gone to the hospital Wednesday evening, he said.

The performer, the son of a country legend, is known for hits including "All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight." He has sung the theme for ABC's "Monday Night Football" since 1989.

HANK WILLIAMS JR. RELEASES NEW SINGLE; GETS HELP FROM ROWDY FRIENDS
HANK SET TO PERFORM DURING COUNTRY RADIO SEMINAR IN NASHVILLE THIS WEEK!!!

Nashville, TN – Hank Williams Jr., country singer-songwriter, one of the best-selling country music recording artists in history, Emmy-award winner, and all-around music icon is set to launch a new Asylum/Curb Records single to radio “That’s How They Do It In Dixie.” The new single will feature guest appearances by rowdy friends Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson, and Van Zant.

“I love this song,” says Williams. “Gretchen, Donnie & Johnny, Kenny & John all did great!!! This song reminds me of the All My Rowdy Friends anthem that was started in the 80s and hopefully it will catch on too.”

Williams made his first stage appearance at the age of eight using his father’s name, songs and mannerisms. He debuted on the Grand Ole Opry at 11 and produced his first hit record at 14 with “Long Gone Lonesome Blues.”

Since then Williams has become a household name with hits like, “Born to Boogie,” “A Country Boy Can Survive,” and “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight.” In 1989 he won a Grammy for the duet with this father, “There’s a Tear in My Beer,” which he borrowed Hank Sr.’s vocals from a vinyl record. Of course football fans everywhere know Williams from the opening theme of ABC’s Monday Night Football, which he has been associated with for 16 years.

Williams has received 16 songwriting honors and has released 20 gold and six platinum or multiple platinum albums. He was named country's Entertainer of the Year for five consecutive years and has won four Emmys for his "ABC Monday Night Football" theme song.

Williams will make a special appearance at the 2006 Country Radio Seminar in Nashville to perform a ‘private’ show at the Country Music Hall of Fame for ABC Radio Networks. Radio attending the seminar should check with the folks at ABC Radio Networks or Asylum/Curb Records for the ‘special pass’ to attend this ‘private’ event.
